    Product composition

    The safety light curtain comprises mostly of two parts: the emitter and the receiver. The transmitter sends out infrared rays, which are received by the receiver and form a light curtain. 
    When an object enters the light curtain, the light receiver responds promptly via the internal control circuit, causing the equipment (such as a punch) to halt or sound an alarm to safeguard the operator. ensuring that the equipment operates normally and safely.
    On one side of the light curtain, many infrared transmitting tubes are installed at equal intervals, while the opposite side has the same number of infrared reception tubes arranged in the same manner. 
    Each infrared transmission tube has a corresponding infrared receiving tube and is positioned in a single straight line. 
    The modulated signal (light signal) emitted by the infrared transmitting tube can effectively reach the infrared receiving tube if there are no obstructions in the same straight line between them. 
    When the infrared receiving tube receives the modulated signal, the matching internal circuit produces a low level.

    However, in the presence of impediments, the modulated signal (light signal) emitted by the infrared transmitting tube does not reach the infrared receiving tube smoothly. At this moment, the infrared receiving tube The tube is unable to receive the modulation signal, and the resulting internal circuit output is high level. When no objects pass through the light curtain, the modulated signals (light signals) emitted by all infrared transmitting tubes reach the corresponding infrared receiving tubes on the other side, causing all internal circuits to output at low levels. Analyzing the internal circuit status can provide information on the presence or absence of an object.

    Safety Light Curtain Selection Guide

    Step 1: Determine the optical axis spacing (resolution) of the safety light curtain
    1. It is necessary to consider the specific environment and operation of the operator. If the machine equipment is a paper cutter, the operator enters the dangerous area more frequently and is relatively close to the dangerous area, so accidents are easy to occur, so the optical axis spacing should be relatively small. Light curtain (eg: 10mm). Consider light curtains to protect your fingers.
    2. In the same way, if the frequency of entering the dangerous area is relatively reduced or the distance is increased, you can choose to protect the palm (20-30mm).
    3. If the dangerous area needs to protect the arm, you can choose a light curtain with a slightly larger distance (40mm).
    4. The maximum limit of the light curtain is to protect the human body. You can choose the light curtain with the largest distance (80mm or 200mm).
    Step 2: Choose the protection height of the light curtain
    It should be determined according to the specific machine and equipment, and conclusions can be drawn based on actual measurements.     Step 3: Select the light curtain’s anti-reflection distance
    The through-beam distance is the distance between the transmitter and the receiver. It should be determined according to the actual situation of the machine and equipment, so that a more suitable light curtain can be selected. After determining the shooting distance, the length of the cable should also be considered.
    Step 4: Determine the output type of the light curtain signal
    It must be determined according to the signal output method of the safety light curtain. Some light curtains may not match the signals output by the machine equipment, which requires the use of a controller.
    Step 5: Bracket selection
    Choose L-shaped bracket or base rotating bracket according to your needs.
